Chicken Wire Frames

I had a couple of white frames leftover from the girls' bedroom gallery wall, and I needed to make something to go in my work/desk area.
So I came up with this project using two things I already have: frames and chicken wire
I cut the chicken wire to the measure I needed, big enough for the opening of the frames and replaced

the clear glass piece.

Just hook the wire with those little metal parts that once held the glass in.
For some reason chicken wire makes me happy.

To each it's own, right?

I did not have to buy anything for this project, so I literally made the most of what I already had on hand.
I am going to get some of those mini clothes pins and use the frames as note holders.
I am slowly working on my desk...I am now waiting until the weather warms up a little, because the smell of the paint really irritates my respiratory tract..so I can't paint inside unless the windows are open (even using low voc paint).

Thank you so much for a cute and fun idea. I have to buy the chicken wire so it won't be a freebie for me. Can't wait to try it!

I love this, I got some free chicken wire and have several unused frames laying around...you are so inspiring! And the chicken wire makes me happy too! I can't wait to see your desk...

So cute. I made one similar recently and cut the chicken wire so it hit the back of the frame which made it a little bigger than the opening in the middle of the frame. I used thumb tacks to hold the wire in place. It was so easy.

Those are great frames, Daniela! I have two with rabbit cage wire but I think now I need to get some chicken wire.

It's not just for chickens! I think the note holder idea would make a good gift too.

What is it about just the simple material chicken wire that is so pretty? Not sure, but I love it! Little Bit from www.DecorateWithaLittleBit.com

I love the chicken wire frames. I've had an idea for chicken wire for a while, but as I have no chicken wire on hand (although I did grow up with chickens), I'll just have to wait. They are perfect for clipping items on them for display.
