The Brick Wall

Our house used to have one exposed brick wall.
The one in our bedroom.
Since last year, we now have a second one, when we added the sunroom.
I have been reluctant in "decorating" this wall, because I did not wanted to mess up the bricks and mortar.
Until a few month ago when I discovered brick
clips.
These are not permanent and will not damage the bricks.

I had no idea those even existed.

So I have been adding, and moving and changing things around.

I have finally added the antlers that I brought back from Italy two years ago.

They came from a local National Park where two of my uncles work.
These are from animals that either died a natural death, or that were accidentally hit and killed.

My parents had these for over 30 years...but I had never seen them before.
I happen to find them in their (quite full of stuff) garage.

I already had everything I used.
I am sure I will be changing a few things around soon.

Stay Frugal,
Daniela

I never knew clips like that existed. What a GREAT invention those are! Love your antlers. Watch out your mother-in-law doesn't steal them--lol...Seems to me that I remember she likes antlers! I love that they have family history connected to them.
Love the brick wall! xo Diana

Dearet Daniela,
What a great find! Never heard of them either and I found out that some hold up to 25 lbs so that is genial.
Thanks always for sharing.
Hugs,
Mariette

It's is good to know that they work. I've seen them online, but was reluctant to try them. I like how you can rearrange to your hearts' content! I have two mortared walls on my porch, and I might have to get some. I hung what I wanted to hang from the wood ceiling, and on the other side of the room, I used a screw that had been in the wall for years.

I was excited a few years Go when I discovered those clips for brick also, Dani. Unfortunate for me, though, my mortar isn't set back deep enough for them to grip well enough to hang things. I love the concept. Your stuff looks cool on the brick wall.

How neat! I've never seen those brick clips before! They are perfect for you. I love those antlers you hung too. They're very unique and add a rustic touch to your room.

The brick wall is such a great feature in the room, the way you decorate it is perfect because it adds interest, but also let the wall be the star!

Never heard of brick clips. I'll have to look into those for the brick wall outside our door...hoa won't let us drill anything into it.
