Home Improvements on a small budget

Yesterday I stumbled across some OLD pictures
(ok, 7 years ago...so maybe not that old)
of our house when we first moved in.
Keep in mind we did most of the work ourselves...aka me.
lol

Here is our two bathroom projects:
The master bath project was a complete tear down.
BEFORE
BEFORE
After the tear down we added a shower/plumbing (we paid plumbers to do this part), and did the rebuild job (here).
AFTER
The other one was pretty much a facelift for $48
BEFORE
AFTER
This was our "basement",

This was the kitchen,

 I recently shared how I
added a backsplash for $5 and

I know there is an arm in the pic :)

For some reason I had forgotten how the house really looked like when we bought it.
But I am glad we did.
It is a great location, and we got a good deal since the house was stuck in 1966, and in need of a desperate makeover.
It was, and is, a solid structure, so we were not worried about the "imperfections".
I knew I could make it work, and we definitely have come a LONG way.

As you can see,
a small budget doesn't stops me,
nor should stop you.

Stay Frugal,
Daniela

Daniela, your home needed a major facelift. Please don't be offended but it was ugly. I would never believe it was the same house, it's gorgeous and has so much character now. You did a great job.

Wow! Your house has come a long way. Y'all have done a great job putting your signature on it. It's much more updated now. Those older homes really are built better than the new ones today.

I just read your feature on Must Love Junk. It was fun to learn more about you and I love the picture of the 2 cuties.

Have fun with your homeschooling.

Wow. You have lots of creative energy! And great vision to be able to see over the badness of it all.

Very inspiring! Our homes were built during the same time frame and so I can relate to much of what you've displayed. Way to go!
