Turmeric Paste and Turmeric Milk

I have been using turmeric for about 9 years,
mainly because I am believer in natural medicine.
Turmeric is truly amazing.
You can find many, many sites about the benefits of adding turmeric to our diet.
In Chinese medicine, turmeric has been used for centuries to cure anxiety and depression.
Turmeric is also an incredible antiflammatory,
and I have been using it for running related pain.
Today I am going to share with you how to make
turmeric paste and turmeric milk.
For the turmeric paste, use
1/2 cup of water and 1/4 cup of turmeric powder.
Whisk together in a small pot on the stove.
"Cook" on low for several minutes until thick.
That's all.
Keep in airtight container in the fridge for up to 14 days.

Now, use about 1tsp of the turmeric paste to make turmeric milk.

You will need:
1tsp turmeric paste
1cup of milk (I have successfully used cow, almond and coconut milk)
sweetener to taste (I use honey)
1T coconut oil

Mix all together in a small pot and heat on the stove.

When warm enough, add the coconut oil.

Enjoy!

Stay Frugal,
Daniela

I never knew about the advantages of using tumeric before. It sounds like it would be good for me with its anti-inflammatory benefits.
