What a dresser made me do

Few days ago I found this dresser on Craigslist for $10.
It is the perfect size for what I need,
and for $10,

I knew I could totally make it fit somewhere in the house.
Also, because of the low price,
I thought that maybe this was not a great piece of furniture...wrong.
This is solid wood, in great shape and clean.
So after we brought it upstairs, I decided against painting it.
I love the statement it makes.

We moved out of the bedroom two tall bookcases, and placed the dresser there instead.
Then I moved the gallery wall from the girls previous bedroom into this one.

The frames were mostly from the $tree, and I had spray painted all of them white.
I also added a little white bench and mirror from another room, and my pillow that I made out of dropcloth scrap pieces.
Hula hoop canopy project here

The girls were so excited to have a
new room, and helped me transfer all their clothes into the new dresser.

And that's what my $10 dresser made me do last weekend.

Stay Frugal,

That is a nice dresser. With it being sort of old modern it gives the room a touch of mod style mixed with the hot pink in the room. I really like it! All of the white you have everywhere offsets the wood well and softens the room to give it a feminine vibe.

Dearest Daniela,
You got lucky for finding a solid wood beauty like this and smart for not painting it. Solid wood has its own charm in the grain.
Also clever for spray painting all those frames for making such a 'picture-perfect' wall.
Hugs to you,
Mariette

What a great buy! That is my kind of dresser. I love that style and I find that they can command a greater price unpainted. So later if you get rid of it, you might be able to make a buck. Looks like your dresser led you in the right direction.
