Multiply your plants/herbs for free

This is possibly the easiest thing I have ever done...
Do you remember this?
I cut few "branches" from our rosemary plant

...that was back in December.
Now it has been sitting in water in our glass jar for 2 months, and here it is.
today

I can't wait for Spring to come, so I can plant those outside!!
Free rosemary plants!!
Stay Frugal,

Dearest Daniela,
Oh, there are so many things we can root easily. You're smart for thinking about it and DOING it too!

Mariette

Good Morning Daniela, Isn't it amazing how many plants we can get for free by letting them root in water....it saves so much money.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best Wishes

I used to always do this with ivy, but didn't think about starting more rosemary plants this way. Thanks for the tip.

What a great idea! I had no idea they'd sprout roots. Cool!

I love this! Mine didn't do so well this winter, I think I needed to change the water more often or maybe the branches should have been longer.

That's a great way to keep your herbs going! I love rosemary. It smells good, tastes good and looks good. LOL! I like it sprinkled over new red potatoes with butter baked in the oven. Yum!

Your cuttings look so healthy. I have
all sorts of cuttings on my kitchen
window sill and it's so nice to pinch
when for cooking.
Great shots

I had no idea that your could root rosemary like that. Much cheaper than buying a new plant a Lowe's. In the same spirit I am planting seeds instead of buying annuals this Spring. Wish me luck, I may need it.
