Caprese Pizza

Pizza is one of my favorite food...
I like to experiment with it and try new things.
This time I made a caprese's pizza.
I found this mozzarelle ciliegine (little cherries)
at the grocery store, and decided to try a new version of caprese salad.

I started by making my own pizza dough.
homemade pizza crust
Easy and delicious.

Then I added the ingredients like this.
I guess one could slice a tomato and add the slices as toppings, but I decided against that...my children would have not eaten the pizza.

It takes about 15-20 minutes to cook in a 450F oven.
Delicious.
Can't wait for warmer weather, and grill this pizza outdoor.

Stay Frugal,

Looks delish! Your kids would not eat tomato slices and my husband would not eat mounds of cheese. Oh well!

That looks amazing! It makes me long for summer for fresh garden grown tomatoes. Thanks for sharing your recipe. Love, Wanda

I use to tell my children that when they got older and became more sophisticated their taste buds would develop and they would learn to like grown-up food. It worked almost every time.

I can already taste the deliciousness of this pizza. In fact, I was thinking of a pizza for today. I never thought of using pesto before. I'll have to keep this in mind for my summer basil. Thanks for sharing!
