A couple of months ago I was about to start building a wooden bed frame for our son.
A few days later, a friend of mine called me asking me if I had any use for a twin size bed with 2 smaller dressers.
Well, of course.
I was ok with the bed and dresser being mostly white, but the blue drawers needed to be toned down a bit.
I got my homemade mod podge and this "pallet wood" paper
(that I used in previous projects), and
here is what I am doing with each drawer.
Pretty easy project.
The paper used was purchased through Amazon, but places like Hobby Lobby might have it as well.

Cut the paper to size, fill handle holes, cover the blue part with mod podge mix, apply paper (keeping it bubble free), and cover with mod podge mix again.
The next day, add an extra coat of mod podge mix, or clear wax paste.
That's all.
I will show you what it looks like when I am all done.
Cost breakdown:
Bed free
everything else I already had
paper roll costs about $12 (I used about 1/4 of the roll, so about $3)
glue/water mix less than $1
For less than $4, I revamped all the drawers.
Stay Frugal,
Daniela

I love that wood plank paper you used! I can't wait to see how everything looks together when it's done. It was nice of your friend to offer you that furniture.

LOVE the look...may I ask where you purchased the pallet wood paper??
Dearest Daniela,
WHO in the world could live in such a blue-drawered bedroom? You are so super smart and a go-getter for doing these miracle projects. For sure, never counting your time and elbow grease; the results are rewarding and that is great pay-back!
Hugs to you and happy 2nd Advent weekend.
