One thing I know for sure is that I love reclaimed wood.
It's so pretty, not just for the color variations, but also for the natural imperfection it has.
I call it natural beauty.
This morning I was in the mood to build something.
We just recently decided to stay in town for Thanksgiving, so I wanted to build something for our table.
Four feet long and nine inches wide.
(which I have been using every single day...I love this too)
It is only 2 1/2 feet long.
Back to the Thanksgiving centerpiece,
I wanted a big statement piece,
and I think I achieved what I had in mind.
I filled it with things I already had,
I think some small gourds will be on my grocery shopping list for this week.
I absolutely love it!
The entire centerpiece didn't cost me anything...beside time to take the wood apart, measure, cut it, sand it, and put it together.
I made this using the same steps as
just a bigger version.

this is beautiful, and it just gave me an idea for mine! I have some really OLD Vernor's Ginger Ale crates that would be great filled with some Fall goodness. the size of yours really suits the scale of your table.

Love the look - contemporary and rustic. I love gourds, too. I keep mine - they dry out to nice faded fallish color tones, and I've used them for years! I add a few more every year...

What a great looking centerpiece. I love the look of that old wood too. I like how you filled it with all natural items too. I hate to hear that you won't be joining us for Thanksgiving this year though. I know it's a challenge traveling with all the kids and having your pets taken care of as well.
I love reclaimed wood too! Our dining room table is all reclaimed wood. What a great idea for a centre piece,looks fabulous. And imagine what you can do with that at Christmas.
