Smart Yard Projects

As the hot months have arrived,
I was looking on Hometalk for
We can all use some refreshing ideas.
Smart Yard Projects
What I really should do is

the river rock bed in our side yard...but I would need my husband help for that one
(or a professional landscaping company).
The projects also include my
easy rain barrel for less than $20
So go and check out those
...
so much inspiration for a refreshing Summer.

Stay Frugal,
Daniela

Dearest Daniela,
A rain barrel is a must for the South! We use just regular trash cans and dunk the watering can inside for filling up. Works fine.
Good luck with your summer; it is tough for keeping things alive and beautiful.
Hugs,
Mariette

You mean there is something you can't do? I was shocked to read you would need the help of your husband or a professional landscaper :).

I would gladly give you some of our rain. I may never get to any of the projects outdoors if the rain doesn't move on. Right now we are crossing our fingers that our gardens are going to survive the massive amount of rain we've had. If I ever get to work on my wish list a rain barrel had been at the top of the list. You have some fantastic ideas on your boards.

I grew up with a rain barrel and loved it. Right now I wish I could send you some of this rain. We have had more than our share this Spring- xo Diana

I see some ideas I'd like to incorporate. Wishing I had a rain barrel to collect all the rain we've been getting lately.

Yay rain bartel instructions. I had stumbled upon these somewhere else but then couldn't fine them. I want a rain barrel so badly.

This sure beats what my mom does to water her plants. Her rain barrel is a bucket sitting on the steps. Great for the outdoor plants on the front porch, but that's about it. Great project!
