When I am working on a bigger projects, I always try to include a few smaller ones in...that's because I am a "get it done" kind of person, but with bigger projects (and smaller children) sometime that's just not possible.
So today I did this.
I had this basic wood crate that needed a basic makeover.
So today I did this.
Just a plain pine crate from Michael's.
(I think)...
Then transferred a writing from "The Graphic Fairy" that I printed on regular paper.
Nothing fancy.
This took less than 5 minutes and costs me pennies.
At first I was afraid of the whitewash technique, but I like to live on the edge try new things.
The nice thing about whitewashing is that you can always give it a second coat if the first one did not cover enough.
I had this crate for years!
And now sits on our fridge holding all kinds of teas.

That looks great!! We have some antique crates from farmer's markets or food sellers with original labels! We also have one for which hubs got an unused label to put on. I await the repaired crate (minor crack) to mod podge.

Nice project, Daniela! Who would have thought that this unused crate could be a useful stuff, right? I’ve seen different creations out of crate materials like a coffee table, wine crate and plant beds. Anything you can do with packaging boxes?
