Industrial wall art

If you remember, a while back, our old oven died and had to be replaced.
Before I put it out on the street, I removed the metal racks from the inside.
I wasn't sure what to do with it,
but I liked the idea of maybe using it as

wall art.
In fact I like using unusual pieces as art, it adds interest, it makes it unique and it gives a cool vibe.
So why not?
In my case, the old metal racks add an industrial vibe to the wall, that works well with the wooden pieces and contrast the visual softness of the big N
(stained coffee filter project).
I also like the fact that I can easily slide in and out the pictures.
Husband likes it too...but I had to remind him that when I kept the old racks he said:
"what are you going to do with those? I don't think they are going to fit in the new oven".
As usual,
I like to think outside the box rack.

You certainly do like to think outside of the *rack*. I never would have thought to save the old racks but they really do make great usable art. Good call!

What a cool idea! I'll have to remember that if I ever get a new oven :)

I agree with Nancy. In my house I would paint them some wild color and use painted clothespins to hang the pics. But, if you didn't come up with this idea I would never have thought to do it.

Hey! What's so crazy about skydiving? Ha!

You are one fab thinker, always enjoy stopping by to see what you have been up too! I would paint them black if I had thought of it I mean:) Love the pictures especially the one of you and your husband!

This is my favorite idea of yours yet, because I've truly never seen anything like this. As a frugal thinker, you really do a great job at repurposing everything. The picture of you and your husband is lovely.

XOXO,
Meredith
