I am one of those people that use fresh herbs...I love especially rosemary and basil (not together).
clear the bottom from the leaves
to prevent the leaves from molding under water.
Add a ribbon for some Christmas cheer.
After a few days you will see some sprout roots, add water to the jar as needed.

I will be planting those outside around April...
after the frost is over.

Oh I just love this and I know how wonderful it smells. I just saw the neatest thing this morning. They took the springs of Rosemary and formed a circle, then had fresh veggies, like mini tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower,etc...it looked like a wreath on the plate. How cool is that?!
That is inspiring...alas I have no green thumb. Every year, my in laws give me a rosemary plant and I sadly always kill it. You make it look so easy. I love having fresh herbs. I wonder what I am doing wrong? If only you were my neighbor.
I love that scent. it fills the whole house and actually helps me sleep.
I didn't know one could root it like this!!! Its too cold in our climate for out door growing but I have one inside, I LOVE the smell and taste!thanks so much for sharing this, yours looks great with the burlap and ribbon!

Yum, I love fresh herbs and can smell it now! Have you put rosemary in your bread recipe?
Great idea for a gift! It smells great and love the look of it in a simple jar with ribbon.
I am SO doing that next year! I like to plant rosemary in my herb garden and I'm going to try this to see if I can have some fresh rosemary for Christmas. Chances are good that I will kill it but I'm gonna try!
I've done this with other plants, but didn't know it worked with Rosemary! I love Rosemary...Rosemary bread is a fave.

I love rosemary trees at Christmas time. They are so pretty and smell so good. You're lucky to have your very own for cooking too.
That's pretty easy! I love rosemary, but I first need to buy a plant, maybe this is the perfect time with so man pretty Christmas rosemary trees at the supermarket!
