It is no news that I absolutely love dropcloth.
Therefore, I have plenty hanging around the house.
This is what I made.
Measure.
Done.
***Dropcloth out of the package is usually very stiff and does not absorb water well. (water and paint beads up on it unless you have a big spill). I washed my dropcloth several times when I made this kitchen towels, to unstiff the fabric and make it more absorbent, but for this project I didn't.***
I also have to mention that I have no special training when it comes to sewing.
I bought a (the most basic) sewing machine 8 years ago, read the manual on how to use it and started sewing.
Let me encourage you...you can do it.

and you work magic with that machine, mine is just basic one too but i sew alot and it is perfect for my needs!!You put drop cloths to such good use, yes its magic!!!

I can't believe you free hand stenciled that. You have incredible skill. I am a sucker for anything with numbers. This turned out really well.

Great minds must think alike. I have tons of canvas laying around because my husband is an artist and he stretches his own canvas. Yesterday I made some pillows from some of the scraps by hand painting them. This morning I had the idea of making coasters out of some of the small scraps and adding letters. Imagine my surprise when by jumping from one blog to the next I found yours number coasters. I plan to make mine tomorrow and do a post on them.
