One of the things that I love most,
is that after a big remodeling projects, I am left with lots of pieces of wood, trim, baseboard...and here came the idea of making this wooden blocks.
is that after a big remodeling projects, I am left with lots of pieces of wood, trim, baseboard...and here came the idea of making this wooden blocks.
I wanted to make something for our entryway, so I choose some scrap pieces,
sanded the corners,
glued two sets of two together,
stained it, and printed out a special reminder
I had to make the N skinny and slightly taller :)
And here I filled in the letters with paint I had already and a thin artist brush.
And here it is!

Very creative and super cute!!
So great to use up your scraps. Love it that you did an up close shot of doing your lettering! It all looks so good. Love the look of your blog! :)
Great use of leftovers. I love the handpainted look.
That was a great way to recycle some wood you were probably going to throw out anyway. I love signs like that. Great idea to use carbon paper to transfer the image. I always forget about that paper.
Such a simple and cute way to use those leftovers.
If you get a chance come link up your project at my Pin Party.
