I am always looking for new recipes and this one is a twist of a classic.
A couple of weeks ago I found some potatoes on sale at Aldi and I have been thinking of ways to use those up. Well, this is a great way to substitute noodles with potatoes, because of their nutritional values, but also because of their fiber content (makes you feel fuller longer).
Let's start, shall we.
5 large potatoes (about 2 lb) |
Homemade Besciamella sauce (or a jar of Alfredo sauce) |
I decided to put mine in the microwave this time and then sliced it up. |
Then just layer the ingredient as you would do with a traditional lasagna : potatoes, red sauce, white sauce and cheese, then repeat until your ingredients are gone
(4 layers if you use a 9X13)
Bake 400 for 55 minutes. Add some bread and salad and you got a scrumptious dinner for under $6 for 6 large portions. That is $1 dinner per person that includes salad, bread and this yummy hot mess! (no tipping necessary)
Picture is of the pre-baked version

Dovro' provarlo! Baci!
