There was so much stuff that I wanted to bring back with me, but I had to pick few things and hope it all would fit in the suitcases.
(I still have more...I am a good packer. LOL)

industrial scale, wooden handmade ladders and more.
As you can see, those jars are not "usable" anymore for that purpose, but I wanted to bring a couple back for decoration.

Those jars will come in handy, I'm sure! Now you're making good use of them instead of them just sitting in the garage. Don't you wish you could've brought that huge ladder home with you too? LOL!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! I bet there are so many treasures in that garage :)
ReplyDeleteYes, too bad you can't bring a ladder home! :)
ReplyDeleteThose are super cute and how much cooler that they came from your family farm! love things with a sentimental meaning attached!
ReplyDeleteOh-What fun to have things from your family birthplace. How very special- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThat ladder is amazing. I can see the wonderful craftsmanship in it. How nice to bring a few things back home to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet that you could bring a touch of Italy home. Love the look those jars have. They hold such character!
ReplyDeleteLiz
What a wonderful piece of Italy to bring back home with you. And, how beautiful that it was actually used at the olive farm your dad grew up on. I love their repurposed life.
ReplyDeleteLove these! Can I tag along next time you go to Italy? ;)
ReplyDeleteSusan
Those jars are really charming! What great usable keepsakes... that not only hold things, but memories as well. How wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYou know, shopping in other people's things is fun. I love thrift shopping, but it's even better when you know the story behind the item. And you can, when it's from your family. Great finds!
ReplyDeletep.s. I've been doing a little bit of backyard shopping at my mom's. :-)
How fun to visit family in Italy and bring home such fun reminders.
ReplyDeleteI would love the ladder.
Dearest Daniela,
ReplyDeleteThat is probably the most painful of all facts that we always face this penalty of not being able to carry it home with us. But paying for an additional suitcase still is way cheaper than having to send it by mail!
Enjoy your newest treasures as it also has such sentimental meaning to you.
Hugs,
Mariette
