As we traveled around Italy,
I was reminded how sometime I get the idea that bigger (and newer) might be better.
Fiat 500 next to a Trulli house...both pretty small |
But that is not necessarily true.
I needed that reminder.
That whatever might be older and smaller in your life,
doesn't necessarily need to change
...unless we are talking about clothes
So enjoy things in your life even if you can't always afford bigger and newer stuff.
(homes, electronics:TV, cell phones...)
Have a great Father's Day weekend
and
and
Stay Frugal,
True - charming!
ReplyDeleteI think I prefer a lot of the vintage to the new, and I still can't use my Iphone with all it's stuff. I just make calls, that's all I need Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post! And beautiful small Italian streets :)I'm reading a book about Amish people right now, and what you wrote about is their life-long motto!
ReplyDeleteAww I love seeing the Italy pics!
ReplyDeleteMore beautiful pictures from your trip along with another lovely and thoughtful post.
ReplyDeleteDearest Daniela,
ReplyDeleteGreat post and so pure Italian. Funny is that I did a post about this Fiat 500: http://bit.ly/10oy3Fq
Father's Day is a special day and it should never be about the biggest gifts or whatever. Your common sense is being greatly appreciated.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
Beauitful post - Gorgeous photos -
ReplyDeleteTrue words
We all need reminders like that from time to time
Hugs,
Suzan
That's so true! Great pics!
ReplyDeletethis is so true. It's so easy to want bigger and newer, I think we're practically brain-washed in our culture. That's why I enjoy your blog and your perspective so much. We have similar views on what's important.

This is the line I enjoyed the most:
ReplyDelete"So enjoy things in your life even if you can't always afford bigger and newer stuff."
So true. Well said. :-)
