Tray transformation

I have had an "African" theme in our living
room for quite some time.
Since I got married...and even before then,
 during my single days.
The reason is that I had brought things back from when I did some mission/orphanage work in West Africa 10 years ago.
Truth is, I have been slowly changing things up, and I recently

updated this tray.
I used the same newspaper and
homemade modpodge
that I used for this clock project.

Back to the tray,
I chose some pictures out of the newspaper,
because I wanted to give it an "older" look.
This is a step by step on the transformation process.
Can you tell I am a visual learner?

I really like the new look.
Cost of this project...practically nothing.
The homemade modpodge is very inexpensive and goes a long way.

Stay Frugal,

  1. Good Evening Daniela, What a transformation....the tray looks so very different and at no cost! Like you, I am also a visual learner, I find if someone shows me how to do something, I pick it up much quicker than if I have to read how to do it.
Lovely to catch up with you.
    Best wishes

  7. Looks great, Dani. It really made a big change, didn't it? xo Diana I had an African themed guest bedroom and my daughter just loved it. When we moved I gave her the room for her new house and now it is like visiting an old friend.
