Better sleep for Less

Are you ready to get a better night of sleep?
Here some simple solutions and ideas.
First of all, you don't need to pay a lot of money for a bed.
An adequately firm surface with enough room to stretch out is a great starting point.
 Adding a

soft mattress pad, feather duvet or foam pad can add a touch of softness without the huge price tag.
Keep in mind that large comforters make ideal mattress pads for a lot less.
Look for clearance or second hand items for extra savings.

Establish a sleep schedule.
Going to bed and waking up at the same times every day helps you set your sleep rhythm in a natural way.

Stay hydrated.
Getting adequate water throughout the day flushes out toxins.
Dehydration weakens your immune system and can interrupt sleep.
(here you can read about health benefits of drinking water)

Get 30 minutes of exercise for better sleep
(not right before bedtime).
When you are physically tired you will fall asleep faster and have more restful sleep.
And keep in mind that there is difference between being mentally tired and physically tired.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine and sugar before bedtime.
It fragments sleep.

Sleep with only one pillow to prevent neck and back pain. There are different firmness, find what you like best.

Watch your posture.
The best position is on your side, with your spine aligned, knees and elbows bent at a comfortable angle.

Getting a restful night's sleep shouldn't cost a fortune.
Sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite!

Stay Frugal,

  3. Good Evening Daniela, Thank you for the tips for a good night sleep. I like the idea of a duvet being used on top of the mattress. I always have water by the bed as I seem to wake up during the night feeling thirsty. The other thing I would recommend is drinking camomile tea, it really helps.
Thank you again for the useful tips.
    Best Wishes

  8. Dearest Daniela,
Great posting and indeed you don't need an expensive bed. Very important I also find the use of all cotton sheets and duvet covers, including pillow covers.
Thanks for sharing always great tips with your readers!
    Hugs,

  10. Thanks so much for these great tips. Menopause is wreaking havoc with my sleep these days, so maybe I have to try something new.

  12. I do have a couple of goose feather duvets and those are really so comfortable for whole night sleep's. I recommend to all my friends to have the same duvets in their bedroom to get relaxed as their body needs.
This is really a wonderful share on goose feather duvets.
