Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is made from organically grown apples and retains many beneficial components because it is not pasteurized.
ACV undergoes two fermentation processes where it produces enzymes and nutrients that makes it so good for us.

Here some benefits of raw ACV

1 tablespoon of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar mixed in a 4 oz glass of water after a meal is a natural remedy for heartburn.

Improve bowel irregularity,
hence removes toxins from the body at a faster rate.
Clears up skin conditions and blemishes giving a more smooth texture and appearance.

Raw ACV can also help with joint pain and stiffness.

Apple Cider Vinegar helps to break down fats so that your body can use them rather than store them. For this reason, many diets include ACV in the regimen.

Raw organic apple cider vinegar is even good for pets.
I use it to help control fleas on our dogs and even promotes a healthy, shiny coat.

ACV contains
Potassium– helps to prevent brittle teeth, hair loss and runny noses.
Pectin– helps to regulate blood pressure and reduce bad cholesterol.
Malic Acid– gives ACV the properties of being resistant to viruses, bacteria, and fungus.
Calcium– supports strong bones and teeth.
Ash– gives ACV its alkaline property which aids your body in maintaining proper pH levels for a healthy alkaline state.
Clear vinegar has none of the benefits of raw organic apple cider vinegar.

That's because it has been stripped of everything beneficial that is “alive”.
Only raw organic apple cider vinegar has the “mother of vinegar”.
The “mother” is made up of living nutrients and bacteria.
You can actually see it settled in the bottom on the bottle.
(remember to shake the bottle before each use)
I make my daily drink with 1/2 gallon of water adn 1to2 tablespoons of ACV,
and put it in the fridge
(to me it taste better).
or try

this drink for energy.

Mix and refrigerate:

1 T of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
1/2 gallon of purified water
Raw locally harvested honey to taste

You can also find apple cider vinegar in tablet or capsule form, but it won't be as good as the liquid ACV. capsule are dried and not alive like the liquid.

My personal recommendation
(this is not and advertisement)
based on my experience and results ONLY,
is Braggs ACV.
I have been using this brand on a daily basis for over 10 years now!
I buy it at the grocery store in the organic section.

Stay Frugal,
Daniela

  1. Danella, I have always heard about ACV to loose weight, but I never tried it because I just think it would taste like vinegar... What does it taste like? also is there a pill form and is it the same? I need to loose weight desperately.
    Thanks so much for sharing.

  4. Yay, didn't know my favorite vinegar has that many good things going. I've always bought the organic one, simply because it was the only one the grocery store sold.

  5. I use this brand as well, and sometimes add it to tomato juice with some cayenne. Usually, I swig it, and sometimes I add some baking soda to cut the acidity and alkalize it.
It's good for lots of things!

  6. I have heard the benefits of drinking apple cider vinegar before, not to the extend you have pointed out, though. I have never tried to dilute it with water before. I've tried to do straight up shots and that was hard :)

  11. I actually lost 9 pounds in one month drinking it (1-2 Tbsp per 8oz of water before every meal). But this drink does get old quickly :) I need to start doing it again though. I love to use it to make homemade salad dressings.

  15. I've tried ACV and water for occasional stomach problems and ACV rinses for my hair work wonders, but I never knew of all of the other benefits. A coworker just started drinking her daily dose...in a shot glass! She says it goes down better. LOL

Thanks for all the info. Grocery shopping....
