There is always a first..there has to.
Today I went to our local monthly flea market.
Yep, with all my children.
We were there for a couple of hours...there was so much stuff...but I limited myself to only a couple of things.
What a fun day.
Cloudy, breezy, high 60's...wish this was tomorrow's weather, perfect for running.
***Unfortunately, looks like tomorrow will be raining...so I am preparing myself to a wet run in the Country Music City Marathon.
I am still hoping it will be mainly dry.***
Anyway, back to the Flea Market,
this is what I brought home.
I am wanting to repurpose both of it as lights.
A kitchen pendant light,
and a table lamp.
(I am guessing this was some kind of
electric heater)
So let's see if I can figure out the electrical part on both of these.
And here some more goodies that caught my eyes.
Crates,
metal things,
and furnitures.
Thank God for Uncle Kevin (one of my husband's best friend), who came out to help and just to hang out with our children.
You can see his (amazing) house tours on the links below
Stay Frugal,
I've been at work all day wondering if It would be worth a trip over there when I get off at 3! Looks like you visited my friend Linda's booth (wire cloches). I finally decided I just don't have the energy to move that fast. Great finds! Thanks for sharing the pictures. Good luck in the morning!

ReplyDeleteIt looks like they had lots to see, and brave you for taking the kids, even with help lol. Best of luck in the marathon tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteOh I just love the one that you're wanting to use as a pendant light in the kitchen! I can really picture it. I would think you could just find a light kit at the hardware store and make it that way. I hate to hear that it may rain on you tomorrow. We're expecting rain too. Bummer! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeleteI just love places like that! You found some goodies for sure. Those crates are charming.
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Meredith
I can't wait to see your re-porpused pendant light, I love your finds.
ReplyDeleteLots of goodies in that place. I'm also enjoying visiting flea markets.

Very nice pictures, and Kevin's home is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAre you running a marathon tomorrow? I am very impressed!
Wow, great stuff. So glad you got to go. I hope you all had fun! Thanks for sharing the pics. It's always fun to see what they have at various flea markets.

I read this on Friday and forgot to leave comment but I'm back to see how the marathon went! I was sending you my positive thoughts :)

What fabulous finds Dani - I have no doubt with your electrical abilities at all - you seem to master everything you attempt!
ReplyDeleteHOW WAS THE MARATHON???
Hope the forecast was wrong and it didn't rain :(

Yucky weather here! The sky opened up yesterday. I am sure you got wet. I need to make a trip to the flee market. Maybe next month. Oh I booked my Italy trip. So excited!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day and cool things, too.

What a fun day. I wish I could have joined you. It's always fun to see what catches one's eye.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing the "new" lights! How did the run go?
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! Can't wait to hit some flea markets!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was an incredible flea! I know exactly what you're saying, it's SO HARD to do your thing at a flea market when you have the kids. Every Mother's Day I go alone! Maybe you should try that:) Found you on Savvy Southern Style and am now a new follower. I'm frugal too, so stop by and say hello ~ I think we have a lot in common!

That's the flea market that I want to go to some time. I have heard it is huge. That will be a cool light.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool outing. I love the vintage Coca Cola crates and I'm thinking they are bird cages. I know that whatever you create will be a gorgeous addition to your home.
