I hear a lot of buzz about recycling around earth day, but then the buzz go away...until the next year around earth day.
I have to say, I am always in a recycling mode, that being reusing, repurposing and recycle.
And this is NOT just for the sake of saving money.
My husband always tells me that I am resourceful, and I do take that as a compliment, because being resourceful means making the most with what you got...which it happens to be my motto in life.
I promise you these are very safe to use on pots and pans.
I tried to take a lot of pictures of the process.
I used a total of 3 nets.
Cut the top and bottom of the net.
Fold 2 of the nets and insert in the 3rd one.
Twist
and roll the net on itself.
Make a knot and
enjoy your new scrubber.
Easy.
Stay Frugal,
Daniela

Great recycling Daniela!
ReplyDeleteI made something similar but crocheted around the edge. I also made a soap saver from produce nets. Crocheted around the top and threaded a tie through...

Smart, Daniela! I've never thought of anything like it!
ReplyDeleteI don't ever have those bags, but hta is a good way to reuse them.
ReplyDeleteYou are BRILLIANT. Your husband is right, you are resourceful. I am really impressed, like in awe. What a great idea.
ReplyDeletePretty clever! Onions are the ones I usually get in this type of bag. I'm going to save it next time!
ReplyDeletewe recycle everything possible. Love this! xo
ReplyDeleteHow totally amazingly thrifty and cool! Love this idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I'll save my net bags next time.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a Great idea!!!
ReplyDeleteFrugal and creative you are! We all get produce bags, but how many think to use them like this?
ReplyDeleteI used some flannel pjs the pup decided to chew up (had a fascination/need to destroy ties), cut them up and use as dry Swiffer mop covers. We use old towels to clean off dogs feet when they come in muddy (12 of them!), I'm going to use someone else's idea to make 2-sided non-paper towels with flannel & terry as gifts, but coming up with fresh ideas, I turn to fellow bloggers for that :-).
Janet

This is a great idea! I gave up paper towels almost a year ago and really don't miss them. However I never knew how to make these until now!

Very frugal idea! I have thought to make a scrubby with them but never tried to make it work! You've done it and it looks simple enough to make it worthwhile to do.
ReplyDeleteI knew there had to be a use for these things! And now you've just shown me the perfect "craft." Thanks. This will really come in handy. Especially for those cast iron pots!
ReplyDeleteThat is truly remarkable! Genius! stopping by from transformation Thursday
ReplyDeleteGREAT idea. You inspired me. We got such nets for onions, oranges and sorts of from grocery. I'll make use of them. Thanks for sharing.
