Hanging pictures

I know,
I am one of those crazy people that hang
their laundry to dry pretty much all the time...and now I even hang pictures!

Yes, hanging pictures...
I should have called this blog
"Little House on the Prairie"...
Anyhow, remember my $12 junking trip?
Can you spot that long black metal wire thingy on the floor?
How about now?
Yeah, no clue what it is...but for $1.50 I knew it had to come home with me.
The thing is, that since I saw it, I thought maybe I could hang it.
I used this hooks, not because the metal is too
heavy,
each hook can hold about 35lb
but because I needed the black metal thingy to stick out just a tad from the wall.
So here is what I am using it for.
Hanging pictures.
I added this to my TV wall art creations
before picture
The size of it works well with the rest of the wall.
I like to new look, and most of all I love how I am able to display family pictures (maybe change it out with Christmas card?), or really just about anything.
This makes me happy...those people are my pride and joy!

Now if you are interested in learning more about hanging laundry, tips and saving,

  1. Well I just love this look! I love anything wire. But I am lousy at hanging things. I like leaning them, but I'm out of leaning space! I'm out of wall space too for that matter! haha. Great job you did.

  2. That is a cute idea. I love the idea of using it for Christmas cards too! It could even be a cute message holder with random notes and photos clipped to it as part of a message center. Very clever of you!

  4. LOVE! That is the perfect way to change out photos (or display Christmas cards). Though, with adorable family photos like you currently have displayed, I would never want to change them :)

  8. First, I love how you're using it;looks like its original purpose. Know what I think it was in its former life? A pot rack! I'll be keeping my eyes out for a used frugal one. Wonder if IKEA sells them?
