Two things that I try to achieve is how to live a better life without spending a fortune.
This is an all natural ingredients,
meaning that if my children decide to eat it, there will be no trip to the ER for us.
This smells great, but also be amazed at how good this soap is.
Lemon (lime) is a strong degreaser and vinegar is a natural antibacterial.
Here
what it takes to prepare your dish soap.
3
lemons (or lime)
2
cups (400 ml) of water
¾
cup (200 gr) of salt
½
cup (100 ml) of white vinegar
blender
--makes 24oz--
Steps:
2.
Add all ingredients in blender making sure all the peel is blended
well.
3.
Place the mixture in a pot and boil for about 10 minutes, stirring so
it does not stick to the bottom.
4.
When it has thickened and cooled put them in a glass jar.
The product remains thick and creamy. Obviously, being free of sulfates, will not make the foam. For those who do not want to give up the foam, you could add flakes of Marseilles soap and cook along the blended sauce.

A
quarter size of this product for dishes by hand.
If
the dishes are especially greasy, just add a little extra.
If diluted and put it on a sponge, it will gently cleanse surfaces of
bathrooms and kitchen.
I bought a bag of limes for .99c in the marked down produce section.
That was for 6 limes.
So for a little over $1, I was able to make 48oz (twice the recipe above) of
ALL natural dish soap.
So be good to our planet,
be good to your family and
be good to your wallet.
Stay Frugal,
Daniela
What a great idea, Daniela. I am going to pin this so I don't forget. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteExcellent, Daniela! I put limes on my list of things to pick up at the store- can't wait to make this! Thank you for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteINTERESTING!!!!
ReplyDeleteI ran out of dish washing liquid today. I have all except vinegar..
I would love to try this. Thanks for sharing.
I'll share this recipe with Amber! She is all about using natural things that are eco friendly. I will confess - I love the smell of bleach and comet and Pine Sol and other harsh cleaners.....
ReplyDelete*hangs head in shame*
Dearest Daniela,
ReplyDeleteEspecially around young children I like this idea!

I bet that's so much safer to use. Natural always is. Thanks for sharing the tutorial.
