Backsplash extended

Over a year ago I added a backsplash to my kitchen.
A few days ago I was cleaning up the garage, and found
the rest of the material used back then.
I have seen backsplashes going the entire height of the ceiling, and I thought it would nice a little extra detail to add this to the back of the open kitchen shelf...
before with just the painted back
So that's exactly what I did.

I admit that I really like the extra detail in there, and it really makes the eye "look up", which makes the ceiling feel taller.
Since this was already material I had from my previous project, there was no extra cost for me.
Just time...and it really does not take that long either.

Measure your area, cut and apply to the back.

I love how it turned out.
This material is fantastic
and is holding up really well.

Stay Frugal,
Daniela

  3. I love it, too!!!
I use wallpaper a lot and once I bought some from England. It was called "Wallpaper for Troubled Walls!" It covered damaged walls and looked like textured walls. You painted it even!
That's long gone now but your backsplash material reminded me of it.
I get a kick out of using what I already have!

So far probably the best idea for 2015! Love the results of that.

  10. I like how you added the paper behind the cabinet too. It works well and seems to give the illusion of more height.
