Organic Homegrown Sundried Italian Seasoning Mix.
It's a mouthful, right?
Well, just wait until you put this in your mouth.

Between my parents and I, 
we grow the majority of the ingredients listed below.
You could use already dried herbs that you find at the store.
If this is your option, 
make sure you use dried herbs that are still "fresh".
You would not believe how amazing this mix smells.
The herbs and red peppers are hang to dry in the sun. 
The length of the drying time
 will depend on where you live, 
how hot it is 
and the level of humidity.
I would suggest a few weeks for most.
I usually bring the herbs indoor at night, 
as the humidity level gets up to 80%+ on most summer nights.

During the day, leave in full sun.
The herbs are hang upside down, the red hot peppers are hang as the picture above shows, and the garlic is sliced thin and layered on a cookie sheet, also sundried.
This seasoning mix does not contain salt...
which in my opinion is not needed.
Herbs are a great way to add flavor and richness to any meal.
(I make a very large batch of this, and then keep in smaller containers to give as gifts and  to sell)
1T basil, dried
1T parsley, dried
1T garlic flakes 
1T thyme
2T oregano 
1T marjoram
1 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

And, this seasoning mix can be added to olive oil to dip some of this 5 minutes artisan bread (HERE).

  6. Well I learned to make my own taco seasoning last year, so I think I'll try this. It looks really good and would make great gifts at Christmas!
