Going the extra mile

This is how I have been spending my Saturdays.
Yeah, living the good life.
Thankfully I have completed week 11 of training...which means only 7 more weeks till race day.
The 26.2miles
aka a full marathon.
This morning a friend of mine
(knowing my 20 mile route)
posted signs like
this to encourage me.
I got home and there she was at the gate of our home.
I really appreciated her going the extra mile.
She is an inspiration,
an ultra marathon runner,
and an awesome person all around!
Thanks Devon!!!
You made my day.
I know you read my blog :)

Daniela

Only 49 days left to my first Marathon,

It would be totally awesome

if you could help me raise a total of $500 to

help St.Jude Research Children Hospital.

  2. Dearest Daniela,
Funny, just today I did check off my donation of December 27 to St. Jude's... So you have been running quite some time already. I was wondering if this marathon already had taken place but not yet I read here. Still, a remarkable coincidence that I have to read this today; we must be kindred spirits in some way.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  4. Total commitment. Love it! My aunt has been training for a half marathon for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Her race is in April. I wish you both all the best and am proud of you. xoxo
