Decorate for Christmas in 1 hour

My goal this year, in decorating for Christmas, is to add touches here and there,
without really change much of the current decor.
I am doing this because with construction going on, and with people in and out of the house all day long, I don't have much time (or energy) to change everything around.

This allowed me to decorate for Christmas in very little time
(max of 1 hour, tree included...+
I move fast), and the clean up will be just as easy as well.
We don't have a live tree...we have 3 children age 5 and under...safety first.
So here came out old faithful

(aka the fake tree)
decorated with ONLY plastic ornaments
(gold and silver) and shatterproof ones (the brown ones).
Someone really thinks the ornaments are shiny balls!!
Our silver and gold glass ornaments have been added to walls

and vases.

I am liking simple.

Stay Frugal,
Daniela

day 2 of construction...we woke up to this.

To my surprise, the workers are here...but I would not want those guys being out in 20° weather...

  1. Your Christmas decor is beautiful. Less is more for me too this year.

It’s snowing really hard by me. I hope your snow does not last as long.

  2. I love how you added little touches to your everyday decor.

How can workers be out in that weather? I am complaining about an early tennis game in 50 degrees.

  3. Oh my goodness! That IS cold. Wish we would get some snow while our Christmas decorations are out. I love a white Christmas. Very rare here though. Hope the weather doesn't hold up construction. Maybe offer the workers some hot coffee or coco to keep them warm. I love the colors you used for your Christmas decor. Your tree is very pretty. Good idea to only use safe ornaments around the little ones.

  4. It's beautiful! I love your vases. It's about 7 degrees outside here right now. And I'm sitting at home and enjoying my hot cocoa :) Not going anywhere until I absolutely have to.

  5. I went with less this year too, I'm always thankful when it's time to put it away:) It snowed this morning so it was great to get up and turn the twinkle lights on.
    Have a good day.

  6. I am doing things simpler this year as well...Your tree is lovely - I bet you can't wait to get that construction project done - can't wait to see it finished!

  7. It's pretty Daniela! It isn't hard to add some festivity to what is already there and saves stress too!

  9. Was I seeing that correctly? Are those oven racks on your wall? You've just given me oodles of inspiration. I agree, It's best not to decorate during construction. Just focus on the fun of family this season.

  10. Love how you decorated, especially the glass ornaments on the wall. I finally pulled out a couple of things today, 2 Santa figurines to add to the poinsettias I have a small tree wall hanging I will show as soon as I put that up, then with a holiday pillow I will probably be done.
