A Charlie Brown Christmas

While (most) everyone else is busy decorating for Christmas...
we have barely started.
And by barely, I mean b-a-r-e-l-y.
You see, when you get sick, there is really not much you feel like doing.
But do you know what's worst than being sick?
It's being sick while

having to take care of 3 little sick children.
We are now almost all completely over this nasty sickness.
And I think that, once we get well, it will call for some major celebration.
Right now I am just trying to get caught up with laundry and cleaning...
while the children rest and watch some old time favorite Christmas cartoons.
One of our favorites is
Charlie Brown Christmas.
So, in his honor,
today we put up our first Christmas tree in the girls room.
This is the only decoration I pulled out so far.
Merry Christmas Charlie Brown.

Stay Frugal,
Daniela

  1. OH NO...sick is not good...and even worse when you are ALL sick. Hopefully that means you will get it all over before the holidays. I was really sick last year but during the holidays and it just ruined it for me...and everyone I think.
That tree is adorable! I love it. I love Charlie Brown too. Great memories for me.

  5. What a cute Charlie Brown tree! It's perfect for a kids room too. So sorry to hear that you all have been sick. I've had my share of being sick with young children and it is not fun. Especially when everyone else is sick at the same time. Hope you're feeling better now.

  9. Dearest Daniela,
So sorry to read you had a rough time with your little ones and yourself being sick.
Guess you are way ahead of me but tomorrow I will put a few Christmas decorations out as on Saturday I will have Open House for my business sales. Don't know the attendance but the Chamber did mail out a Chimpmail about 5 times.
Your tree is one I love; minimalism!
    Hugs and best wishes.

  11. Glad you are feeling better. I loved the Charlie Brown Christmas show and so too your tree. There was something so endearing about his love of that little unloved tree.

  12. So sorry that all of you were sick. Hope that you are all better now.
I've been decorating for over a week now and are almost finished. It's hard when you get older - takes forever to finish a project.
    Love the Charlie Brown tree.
    Take care and feel better.

  13. I am with you. I have decorated even less than you. Normally I'm the weekend after Thanksgiving...this year, the husband has too much homework and finals to worry about. And I am not feeling inspired to lug our decorations out of the shed through the 3 feet of snow by myself. Cross fingers we get some motivation this weekend. Hope you start feeling better, having to watch kids while feeling poorly is the worst.

  14. Being sick is definitely no fun. I hope everyone gets on the mend really soon and energy levels return as well. The Charlie Brown tree looks great. Just know that you're not the only one without any Christmas decor. It seems I just finally realized what to do for fall. LOL

Again, hope you all feel better really soon!

  16. OH NO! Sorry to hear you have been so sick. It's so hard to be sick as a mom, no sick days to take. I hope you get your energy back soon. I am sure the girls were excited to have the first decorations go in their room. We love Charlie Brown too.

  19. Omigosh, being sick with sick kids is almost as bad as dealing with a sick husband! Hehehe...
