Last minute pizza dough

I am a pizza lover, but sometime I get that "pizza crave" a little too late in the day.
So what does this (frugal) pizza lover do?
No, not ordering delivery pizza.
I make this super quick last minute pizza dough.
I prepare the dough mixing all the ingredients below,
...and I double it.
Let it "rest" while I get together all the other ingredients.

shred the mozzarella cheese,
and get the other toppings out of the fridge.

Roll it out,

put the sauce, cheese and toppings on.
***I used leftover grilled asparagus, boiled eggs and fresh mozzarella***

Bake at 400-450° (according to your oven) for about 20 minutes.
If I do get my acts together earlier in the day...
I always prefer to make my
pizza dough that require rising.
But for a last minute pizza craving,
this does a wonderful job.

Stay Frugal,
Daniela

ps. one homemade pizza will cost as little as $2
(or more, depending on your topping selection)

  1. Ok, I'm going to have to start making pizza for myself instead of waiting on someone to be here to share it with! I love it and want to try this quick crust as well as your original!

  3. You just gave me the perfect excuse to procrastinate on making my pizza dough. I usually make mine in the morning, but some days, it seems so hard to get the motivation to get it done...now, when I feel a bit lazy, I have your recipe to fall back on. Thanks!

  6. Oh yeah! That's my problem - I remember too late in the day to let it rise and I love making my own. Yay, now I can at the last minute. Thanks!

  7. I've never seen a pizza with asparagus and eggs on top, but I have to say it looks really good! I'm sure it's more healthy that way too.

  9. Dearest Daniela,
Super recipe; even better than Trader Joe's $ 1.19 whole wheat ready pizza dough. This is simple and yours looks yummy.
    Hugs to you,

  11. I just came from visiting your Etsy shop after seeing the great linens on Creating a Life.

    Wonderful stuff!

I am being good until the end of the month because I did a bit of overspending over spring break. But, I will be visiting the shop in a few weeks.
