The layover between the connecting flights was over 8 hours, so I decided I was going to wander around Paris for the time being.
It turned out to be a fun adventure (I was not alone), totally unplanned, and totally cool.
One day I might be able to go back...even if
when I travel back home (Italy) I try to stay away from connecting flights in both London and Paris.
(their airports are crazy!!
or maybe I just had bad experiences there...).
That said,
Paris inspired my latest project.
This past week I turned into a towel machine.
Again...
That's what my husband calls me.
I needed to stock up my Etsy shop,
and also I wanted to branch out a little and try few new writings for the towels.
A while back I made some Italian cities towels,
and now I am adding a "Paris" set.
Back to Paris,
if you ever have a chance to go the France...I would suggest you learn some of the language...I had better luck finding people that spoke Italian, then people willing to speak English.
Au revoir!
(Goodbye)
Stay Frugal,
I love your new "Paris" towels! I had an opportunity to go to Paris in my early twenties after I won a trip from work. But, they also offered a trip to London. I chose London because (at the time) I heard that french people didn't like Americans too much. They weren't as friendly as the english over in London. Plus I wasn't keen on not being able to read anything over there or speak their language. It was a no-brainer for me. So, we went to London and had a very good time. I was already in so much culture shock with how different things were over there that I was glad that I didn't have to battle the language barrier too. One thing I can say, is those cities are VERY crowded with tourists! I think if you're wanting a relaxing vacation, don't go to a major city with alot of tourists. Ain't gonna happen. I craved green trees and nature when I got back home. There is no place like home in my book! LOL!
ReplyDeleteYour Paris towels are beautiful. You really should open an Etsy shop like right now. I hope that I'll make it to Paris soon.
ReplyDeleteI love your new Paris print tea towels Daniela!

Love those towels! I dream of going to Paris someday, although my first choice to visit is Italy (my grandparents are from there) I'm jealous of your travels ;)

Your towels are wonderful. Love them. I lived in France for over 8 years. 4 of those 8 years I lived about 45 minutes from Paris in Versailles. I love Paris. Where are you from in Italy? I once spent a week in Ventimiglia. Beautiful country and people :) My husband is in France right now....I better get some chocolates :) I am going to pin your towels onto my "Products I love" board!!

Ah Paris -- wonderful inspiration for your lovely towels. I especially like your Italian cities towels; they really capture the charm and feel of a previous century :)
ReplyDeleteI live in Montreal - a mostly French speaking province here in Canada - and I find the French in France more willing to speak English then the French here!!!
ReplyDeleteYour towels are gorgeous Dani ( like everything you do!!! )
How lucky that you've seen Africa
Hugs,
Suzan
Little towels from France would
ReplyDeletesurly put a smile on my face.
Was in Paris only once a few

ReplyDeletebelles serviettes xo P.S. did you get your entry in for my new giveaway?
ReplyDeleteThe towels are so perfect - white with the black typography. Love them!
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely gorgeous!! I just love the fonts you used!
ReplyDeleteThe small terminal where the Canadian flights landed in Paris when we went was such a breeze... not crowded at all. Mind you it was in the spring, and during the week. We always try to travel on off times. Can't wait to go back to our favourite city. Those lovely towels are making me dream of Paris again... (as if I ever stop). lol.
Did I miss where you said if you did them by hand or machine? Either way they are adorable! You have so many talents!
