A long time ago
(ok, well at least 10 years ago),
I got this little tv cart to use as a nightstand in my bedroom.
It had wheels and it served it's purpose well.
It had wheels and it served it's purpose well.
This little guy has been moved around for a while, wearing different hats...even holding a small tv.
I moved this at the end of our hallway, right outside the girls bedroom.
I needed a place where the girls could sit and put their shoes on AND
I needed some extra shoes' storage.
I needed some extra shoes' storage.
I added a writing that brings me a smile every time I look at it:
Benvenuti Amici
I also made a simple dropcloth skirt to cover the already piled up shoes.
...well, now I will work on the mirror on the wall...not pictured...
Cost of project $0
the cart was free,
the paint I already had on hand,
the dropcloth was a strip left over from previous projects.
Stay Frugal,
A great little makeover and I love the greeting.
ReplyDeletewhat a great make over!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great makeover. I hold on to things too and there is a reason for it.

ReplyDeleteperfect when you can update something old and make it useful! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great makeover, Daniela! I never would have thought of something like this.
ReplyDeleteWOW. That turned out great. I love that you hand painted an Italian saying. I also love that you added some drop cloth to hide the shoes...that is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteThat is really a great makeover! I love the writing you added.
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing make over! Awesome job! Love it!

Dearest Daniela,
ReplyDeleteYour Benvenuti Amici is a practical dream! You are a smart stylist. Lucky husband for having such a brainy wife!

Daniela, this is an awesome makeover! I also hold on to things. It is a constant battle in this house and my answer always is, I don't need it now, but I may need it later. :) Great post!
ReplyDeleteThe writing makes it so unique! Great makeover!
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT, great idea. The hubs always gets on me for keeping all my shoes out in plain view so I might need to find something like this. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute, I love seeing items repurposed and looking better than they did originally for their intended purpose.
ReplyDeleteThat's aweseome Daniella! I love that you put Italian words on it - I assume they are Italian anyway :)
ReplyDeleteYou never cease to amaze me Dani!! I love how you can turn something you already have that is ok, into something completely new and fabulous :)

It looks awesome! It's amazing what a little time and paint can do.
ReplyDeleteI always like the feeling of having an idea that organizes an area a little better and works for what we're needing in our home.
How perfect! It is amazing what paint will do! It looks great and the cloth is perfect to hide the shoes! Best part...FREE!
ReplyDeleteMuch nicer! It's like a new piece.
ReplyDeleteLove the italian lettering, too.
