.10c for the entire stack of stencil...letters and numbers!
These are the perfect size for my recent pillow covers.
For this project I used acrylic fabric paint marker.
Add a file folder (cardstock) inside the pillow, to prevent potential paint bleeding through...did not happened to me, but if you use regular acrylic paint, it might...better safe than sorry!

Acrylic paint is washable when dry, and
"washability" is my number one priority when living with small childrenand messy husband, so this is perfect for our living room.
I decided on this two "meaningful" years
1492
1861
You know what the first date is...to me it symbolize myself coming to US, just like Cristoforo Colombo
(yes, that is his name in Italian).
The 1861 is the year when Italy became one, under the ruler King Vittorio Emanuele.
Italy became a Democratic Republic only in 1946, when Monarchy was replaced.
Now you know a little more about the "Old Country".
I love history!
Project done.

Stenciling is quick and easy.
Just allow time for drying before using.
I love my new pillows!
Stay Frugal,
Yours look much nicer than mine did. Mine looked like prison uniforms turned into pillows. :)

Oh...what a great find.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I like them a lot. Yes, if you use regular paint it will bleed through so you have to make sure you have something thick under your pillow cover. If the cover is not very heavy fabric it is best to use more than one piece of cardstock! I've done this before and luckily have no paint on my table - at least not from that project!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find Daniela, I'm sure your going to put them to a lot of use! The pillows look great!
ReplyDeleteThose stencils will be used a lot for many things!Love the pillows!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great price. I love the pillows and I have a feeling there's more stencil projects to come :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what's next!

Gotta find some stencils like that! I have some smaller ones from Martha Stewart so you know that even on sale and with a coupon they were a lot more than 0.10!! How tall are they? Look great!!
ReplyDeleteI love how they turned out. The black dates are a great accent!
ReplyDeleteYay! I like these so much. I also like that you chose meaningful years in history.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
The numbers just totally finish the covers off!
ReplyDeletePerfect. Don't you just love dropcloths? I just made drapes from some (see my blog).
