On my continuous quest of "healthify" our meals, I made this hybrid.
A meat and wheat berry meatloaf...hence the name meat(berry)loaf.
The whole gang LOVED it!
Here it is.
Ingredients
1 onion
2 eggs
Direction
Mix meat, berries and eggs together .
--I only had 1 egg...but 2 will work best to keep the meat(berry)loaf from crumbling--

Stay Frugal,
Good Morning Daniela, We enjoy meatloaf in my household. I have never heard of wheat berries, they look a little like pearl barley. I should imagine the wheat berries give a nice chewy texture to the meatloaf. I love your oven baked chips, very healthy. If I don't speak to you before Thanksgiving, have a wonderful time with your family. Happy Thanksgiving to you. Best Wishes Daphne
ReplyDeleteWell that's a new twist on meatloaf that I've never seen before. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
ReplyDeleteI love oven steak fries with meatloaf! Next time I go to a store with wheat berries, I'll get some and try them.
