Chalkboard Barstools

What about painting the barstool?
That's what I asked myself this morning.
(I know, as if I sit around all day with nothing to do)
The thing is that I have wanted to paint those for a long time.

I like the reddish wood color, but I was ready for a change.
The barstools came from my mother in law, and few years later we bought our black table and chairs. Now the stools are black too.
Our two girls sit on those when
they help our chef (aka me) cook.
Now I just need to repaint our kitchen cabinets...but that is project for another day/week/month/year?
This was a no cost project for me.
The quart chalkboard paint was only $10, and I have used it for several projects around the house. (and still have 1/2 can left!)
Few examples of how I used chalkboard paint:
the cardboard boxes in our school room
and
the coat rack in our entryway

Stay Frugal,

  3. Good Evening Daniela, The paint you chose has totally changed the look of the chairs, and at such a cheap price aswell. It's amazing what you can achieve with a change of colour. Hope you have had a good day. Best Wishes Daphne

  6. Nice! I like the matte finish. Did you have to seal or varnish the stool after painting it?
