This is the last post of this Franklin home. And without further adieu, Kevin's bedroom.
I am going to start showing you his reading corner. He added a towel bar to the wall to "hang" the books he is currently reading. Genius!
He also added to the wall, pockets from his favorite pair of pants...after he wore those out!
Then here is his dresser: a metal cabinet with his initials on it.
Note the red accents in the room, metal toolbox and lamp.
This is his bed, with handmade art for a headboard.
Dream...
On the right of the bed, he has metal drawers and lamp
and this other metal drawer with books is on the left.
...talk about vintage and industrial feel!
And here is a HUGE and HEAVY mirror that his mom had for years in her garage.
Complete with lizard
And when he can't fall asleep...bowling to the rescue!
...the possibilities are endless :)
As always a fun and creative room!

ReplyDeleteI knew I would love this room when you said it was gonna be industrial, and it didn't disappoint! LOVE the bar for the books, and the metal cabinet. I have displayed several sets of old bowling pins (different sizes) so of course I loved those too! :)

Kevin should offer walkthroughs of his home. You could be the tour guide! :-) But seriously, his space is amazing. I love the book nook area.
ReplyDeleteI swear this Kevin needs his own blog- Amazing use of re-purposed items. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI hope you're letting Kevin know just how much we've been enjoying touring his home. He is very creative. I love the industrial touches and how he thinks "outside the box". The pants pockets on the wall and the towel bar turned book rack.....so unique! The file drawers beside the bed are just right. I love his homemade artwork too.
ReplyDeleteLove the pant pockets on the wall and the initials! What a fun room

I can't get over how cool that old metal cabinet looks with the letters on it. I still have trouble visualizing those as anything special, but then, right there it is! So much metal goodness here...and add in the bowling pins and we're talking one sweet room!
