Set of Kitchen Towels

Today I have been busy making 
two sets of kitchen towels 
for a giveaway at my Church's Women Retreat that is coming up in just a few weeks.
I got the sewing machine out and got to work on this special towels.



I hope this is going to put a smile on
someones face.


And all ready to be given away.
The material used is dropcloth.
You could use a fine point sharpie to trace the image/words, a fabric marker pen and acrylic paint!

    Those are so cute! How did you get the image to transfer? Especially that cute fleur de leis?

    These are great towels! Did you stamp/paint the designs on or were they a part of the fabric? They look fabulous. :-)

    I love those towels and so will the recipient. I have a thing for kitchen towels, which is why I have so many. Maybe time to make some of mine.

    Hi Daniela,
    These are really adorable! I tried the same stripe pattern on some of those flour sack towels from Walmart and Target a while back, and it came out really cute but the paint faded right out in the wash unfortunately. I guess I needed some sort of fabric medium? I don't know. Can you tell me what kind of paint you used? Also, when you traced the letters for that sweet recipe towel, what did you use for that? I have a whole bunch of towels I bought to decorate for gifts and haven't figured out what to do with them yet. This would be a perfect idea, if I knew what ink or paint works best.
