Today I have been busy making
two sets of kitchen towels
for a giveaway at my Church's Women Retreat that is coming up in just a few weeks.
I got the sewing machine out and got to work on this special towels.
I hope this is going to put a smile on
someones face.
And all ready to be given away.
The material used is dropcloth.
You could use a fine point sharpie to trace the image/words, a fabric marker pen and acrylic paint!
Here you can read how to make the above one with the writing

Those are certain to put a smile on a few faces. Those are really lovely. I am impressed with your creativity, thoughtfulness and execution.
The towels are lovely and one lucky person will enjoy them.
I love them and I know who ever receives them will too!
They are so cute the lucky winner will certainly have a smile while using them!
Daniela,
Those are so cute! How did you get the image to transfer? Especially that cute fleur de leis?

I am curious about the type of fabric you used and the transfer method. These look truly vintage. You did a great job!

Those are great! I want some!:)
These look great! They look like something you would buy at a nice store. You're so creative.
These are great towels! Did you stamp/paint the designs on or were they a part of the fabric? They look fabulous. :-)
How lovely! I'm also curious about the fabric you used. :)
Oh, these are awesome! Someone is going to be blessed with these beauties. Thank you so much for sharing at A Bouquet of Talent. I am so thrilled to have you. Thanks for the great tutorial, too. :)
What a great idea! I thought they were french linen! Such a simple project with awesome results!
I hope you will share your dyi towels at TUTORIALS TIPS AND TIDBITS, my weekly linky party. Link goes live 8:00 every Wednesday!

I love those towels and the receiver will too! I never thought to make them out of drop cloths, very creative.
I love those towels and so will the recipient. I have a thing for kitchen towels, which is why I have so many. Maybe time to make some of mine.

Hi Daniela,
These are really adorable! I tried the same stripe pattern on some of those flour sack towels from Walmart and Target a while back, and it came out really cute but the paint faded right out in the wash unfortunately. I guess I needed some sort of fabric medium? I don't know. Can you tell me what kind of paint you used? Also, when you traced the letters for that sweet recipe towel, what did you use for that? I have a whole bunch of towels I bought to decorate for gifts and haven't figured out what to do with them yet. This would be a perfect idea, if I knew what ink or paint works best.
Thanks!
Liz
the recipient will love them. They are terrific. xo
Can I be the recipient!?!? LOL These are GREAT!!! Featuring you! XO, Aimee
love your kitchen towels - what a fabulous idea. Did you use red fabric marker and ruler to make the red stripes? Don't suppose you'd give us an idea of how you made the fluer de lis? Found you at 'At The Picket Fence' linky party.
Love them! I would love to win those beauties!!
So beautiful! I would love to receive those! Definitely going to try these on my own. Cool idea!
I found you through twelveOeight... love all your fabulous drop cloth ideas! Can't wait to try some out for myself!! Thanks for sharing:)
