Hanging Necklaces

Ever feel the need to have your accessories organized?
This is what I came up a year ago and today I am going to show you how I organized my necklaces and bracelets.
Picture frames!
Yep, this picture frame was a wedding gift. This is one of those 3D frames.

I took the pictures and glass off from the bottom of the frames and hung necklaces from it. Simple.

Also I had another similar frame that a friend of mine had given me several Christmas ago...I could not find it until I spotted the frame under a bunch of stuff in our spare closet...score!
I did the same thing with that frame, so now I have one frame for necklaces and one for bracelets!
Both of this frames have a dark cherrywood frame, and for now it works against the light color on the wall. I might end up painting it white...
So do you have a 3D frame? Do you have a creative/inexpensive way to organize your necklaces?

Stay Frugal,

  4. I have a frame similar to that, but it still remains empty. You've come up with a great solution to jewelry hanging. The most jewelry I wear is this lanyard I have for my ID badge at work. lol

  9. I don't wear alot of jewelry, so I just have mine in a jewlrey type tray in a drawer. I like how you repurposed that picture frame to hang jewlrey from though. That's a great idea. Now your jewlrey is like art too!

  13. That is such a simple, creative idea. You should enter it in the Whisperwood contest for a magazine feature

I was trying to think of something to enter and never came up with anything, but this project is perfect. Just a thought.

  15. Ahhh that is brilliant!! I'm suddenly wishing I hadn't thrown away the 3d frame that I dropped and shattered all the glass of! :-)

I hammered nails into a shelf above one of my bookcases, and I hang all my necklaces and bracelets off of that:) For earrings I use my mom's and my grandma's old jewelry boxes. I love my set-up!
